Williams-Sonoma New Deep Fried Turkey $95
If you’ve ever wondered what deep-fried turkey tastes like, but have been too scared to try making one on your own, you’re in duck! I mean luck! Williams-Sonoma has a brand new item as part of their Thanksgiving repertoire this year — a Southern-style Deep Fried “Jive” Turkey. And boy does it look good. The turkey comes from Brooklyn’s Famous Jive Turkey restaurant, which specializes in deep-fried turkeys, offering about a dozen varieties from Jerk Turkey to Lemon Pepper Turkey to a Peking Fried Turkey, and is now available to you through the Williams-Sonoma web site for $95.
The deep-fried turkey ships overnight and it is recommended that you eat it within 4 days of arrival, so don’t order it too early! The turkey is rubbed with sage, rosemary, and thyme and cooked in peanut oil at very high heat, meaning that the turkey itself actually absorbs very little oil. MMMM!
